nowhere is anywhere else

material: plastic flooring, furniture wheels, wood. size: 3,6 * 2,2 m

a construction resembling a floor is built and placed on the existing floor. the object consists of a wood frame with a plastic flooring stretched around it, mounted on wheels. the object and the size of it are adapted to the architecture of the room and the big dysfunctional floor makes it difficult for the visitors to move freely around.

hard logic

material: shelf (2m), brackets, tools

a shelf is placed high on the wall, near the roof and window. it is mounted parallell with the slightly slanting line of the roof, functioning as an emphasizing of the defect. at the edge of the shelf a 'left behind' screwdriver and a pencil are placed - the tools used for installing the shelf.

the simple parts

material: overhead projector, overhead film

an overhead projector is systematically covered with layers of overhead film until the projection light no longer can reach the wall.

material: drapes, wire, starch

the show basic instructions consisted of an installation work in four parts, all of them with a connection to the interior of a typical public space. the exhibition space and the objects physical requirements were confronted, resulting in a mutually intensification of their more or less obvious physical paradoxes.

grey drapes are used to cover the large window in the inner gallery room, at first appearing to be there to act as a shade for the overhead projector installation. a small part of the curtain is manipulated with wire and starch, letting in a small amount of daylight and imitating a wind moving the fabric.
